ABOUT US PM SHRI GOVT. Girls’ Sr. Sec. School Gyalshing About Us Initial attempt to start Gyalshing School, presently christened as Govt. Girls' Sr. Sec. School, Gyalshing was made in the year 1928-29. Having realized the need of a school, a pathsala commitee was constituted in the year 1933 under the guidance of Shri S.K. Generesa (Phak Tshering Kazi) a leading educationist of the time who had been relentlessly espousing and upholding the noble cause of education. In the year 1955 the Darbar took over the School and granted Junior High School status. It was the year 1957 Gyalshing School was granted Higher Secondary status and on 24th of November 1964 the school was shifted to Pelling due to space constraints and lack of adequate infrastructure. Only the primary section that too only up to class IV was left behind at Gyalshing. It had started its journey once...
